As at 25th June 2008

  • Captain Les Frizzell thought that a summer Solstice competition would be a good idea. Sunday 22nd June was pencilled in for a 5.30am shotgun start. The 80 men who turned up were greeted by torrential rain. The proceeds were all going to a good cause and once you are up at 5am there is no turning back !! The event went ahead and everybody got very wet but the sun eventually came out and £1000 was raised for Marie Curie Cancer. Everyone then enjoyed a hearty breakfast. Click here to see a slide-show of the photographs from the day.
  • First Seniors Open was well attended with 100 pairs on Tuesday 24th June. All results are now posted on the Golf Central site ( access via the Opens tab ! )
