The main feature of this hole is the quarry - stone from here was used to
build the farm and the nearby Fellside Village ( now demolished ). For season 2008 this hole
is now a Par 5 - a new tee box has been brought into play to give the extra yardage.

Golfer's Tip
This is a tricky hole where the width of the fairway reduces to only 15 yards
at a distance of 150 yards from the hole - the shot from the tee is critical and the line
to be taken is just to the left of the winter green which is approx 125 yards ahead.
A good drive will need to be followed by a straight second to avoid the
quarry on the left, or the trees and groundsman's building
on the right. After the quarry comes the out of bounds on the left. The green
is protected by 2 bunkers on the left and a single on at the front right.
The putting surface is shaped like a bowl so putting can be interesting.
