The name 'Lang Jack' refers to a strong man who lived locally in the 19th century.
He reputedly carried over 30 kg of stones over a distance of 4 miles when he was
constructing his house. There is also a local public house named in his honour.

Golfer's Tip
As the stroke index implies, this is not an easy hole. The tee shot is
straight up a hill which seems as if it goes on forever when you are
walking up to play your 2nd shot. A good drive will be needed to leave
a long iron ( or fairway wood ) into the green. Bunkers at the front right
and left of the green.
